How I Bought Cheap Airline Miles to Travel to Germany

I was in a dire need for a break and not just a weekend-movie-night-bucket-of-ice-cream break but a good refreshing visit to another country kind of break. One of my friends from school studied in Germany and I’d always wanted to visit, so a couple of months before semester break I started doing my research on the flight, hotels and places worth visiting there, and that’s when I realized pulling this ‘break’ off wouldn’t be so easy. The first roadblock was buying the ticket because when proposing the idea I’d promised my parents a reasonable budget, the ticket would empty my pocket real fast. Discussing this predicament with friends, a few of them mentioned buying cheap airline miles and I realized I did have my frequent flyer card with me that had a few points in it thanks to my domestic flights to and from home. But if I wanted them to make a significant difference I really did need to buy cheap airline miles.

One way I decided to rack on some airline miles was by applying for a point’s credit card that my bank offered, they gave a significant amount of points as a sign bonus once I’d spend a minimum amount which wasn’t difficult since I did need to buy some necessities for the trip. Then my friends also referred me to websites where I could directly buy cheap airline miles, so I used some of my money to utilize the pretty decent special offers. So all these points and miles that I collected from here and there added to a major discount in my ticket and this left me a good chunk of my budget to use on more important matters in Germany. Buying cheap airline miles was definitely a very wise move. Once this was sorted out it took a few more days to sort everything out but I was all set on the first day of semester break and heading to the airport.

Germany couldn’t have been better, beautiful scenery, fairytale castles, important historic sites and lively party scenes, what else could I have asked for. I’m an avid history fan so the fascinating World War II history was the highlight of my day. I spend most of my days in Berlin, which was lined with captivating museums. Bode museum had to be my favorite because not only had so much work been done in preserving this historical building it also had such a vast collection of  sculptures, Byzantine art, and coins and medals. A close second was the Museum of Modern art, which had such an eccentric and provoking displays of contemporary art that I spent the rest of the day all refreshed and inspired. Another highlight of my vacation was my two day trip to Rugen Island where I stayed at a charming seaside resort with my friends and spent most of my first day enthralled with the beauty of the beaches and then the next day getting lost in Jasmund National Park.
Needless to say it was more than the break I needed, Germany now occupies a good part of my heart and I’m now keeping a real close eye on more special offers from all the concerned companies to buy more cheap airline miles so that I can see more of the world and rack on more inspiration.
